When a character has the ability to request from the host to see a particular item that another character has (have purchased Lei'd to Rest) - how would a character know what to ask for? Simply put, how do characters know what items their fellow characters have, and thus what items to request to see?

Hi there,

These are the main ways:

* the other player may have told them that they have a particular item;
* someone else might have told them that the other player had that item;
* they might have noticed the item changing hands;
* someone might have used the Thorough Appraisal or Inspection ability to establish what item(s) a character has;
* or they might just request this on a hunch.

It is always going to be a bit of a risk as, unless you do it right after a Thorough Appraisal, there's a chance that the item might have moved on again. For that reason if someone requests an item that the target doesn't actually have, there's a fallback (mentioned on the ability card) to prevent it being a total waste of a use of the ability.
