Jennifer first fell in love with Freeform Games’ murder mystery games after hosting Death on the Gambia with family and friends. Since then, she’s hosted a dozen other Freeform games and loves bringing people together for an evening of immersive mystery.

It occurred to her that writing one of her own mystery games would provide a creative outlet (and escape!) during the busy years of motherhood and homeschooling her three children. Her first game, Bludgeoned on Broadway, was written with little ones running around under her feet, and about ten years later, she wrote Vanished in Vegas while teenagers were ruling the house. When creating the games, she wanted to give players two things: a setting in an iconic American destination and a cast of colorful characters with fun costume ideas to choose from.

Jennifer lives in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA, with her husband, Eric. Besides writing, she enjoys all forms of entertainment, including movies, TV, theater, and books, as well as creative pursuits such as home decorating and the visual arts. Her current interest is building lifelike clay animal sculptures.
